This is an inline zinc anode that helps protect your metal parts against galvanic corrosion, which can cause discoloration and general erosion. This fits into 2" plumbing, but it is a simple process and doesn't require there to be re-plumbing. It features a see through housing that let's you easily remove and replace a zinc anode that has been depleted.
